Pratt & Whitney Canada named Frost & Sullivan’s Engine MRO Centre of the Year

Pratt & Whitney Canada’s exceptional performance in Southeast Asia was recognized by Frost & Sullivan, which gave P&WC the 2010 Asia Pacific Aerospace & Defence Award for 'Engine Manufacturing, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Centre of the Year'. The award, which was handed out at a ceremony held during the Singapore International Air Show, recognized Pratt & Whitney Canada’s excellence in competition strategy, impact on value and brand positioning.
"This honour recognizes the value we bring to our customers by delivering dependable products and support in a world-class facility," said Michel Jaffre, general manager, service centres, Asia Pacific, for Pratt & Whitney Canada (SEA) Pte Ltd. "It is a testament to the steadfast dedication and talent of our 150 employees and an unwavering commitment to our customers in the Asia-Pacific region during the past 25 years."
Frost & Sullivan recognized Pratt & Whitney Canada for maintaining and large customer base and new parts distribution centre in Singapore while doubling availability of parts and decreasing delivery time to customers by more than half. The awards committee also awarded high points for Pratt & Whitney’s ability to provide superior customer service through its Customer First Centre as well as its ability to leverage the Pratt & Whitney Canada brand and specialized engine capabilities to better serve customer needs in the Asia-Pacific region.

Pratt & Whitney Canada, a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company, has more than 30 owned and designated service facilities worldwide with an extensive network of field support. The company has been present in Singapore for the last 25 years and provides overhaul and repair services for PW100 engines and APS3200 auxiliary power units, as well as Mobile Repair Team (MRT) support and hot section inspections for PT6A, PT6B, PT6T, JT15D, PW150A and PW200 engines.
